Where is Protaras

Protaras is located on the East coast of Cyprus.

The Republic of Cyprus is a small island country in the East of the Mediterranean Sea. To the North is Turkey, to the South is Egypt and to the East is the Middle Eastern Countries of Lebanon, Israel and Syria. 

Protaras is the most Easterly point of the European Union with a 4-5 hour flying time from North and Western European Countries and 2 hours from Central and Eastern Europe. The nearest airport to Protaras is Larnaca which is around 60 kilometres away. ​

Protaras stretches for several miles along the East coast of Cyprus. To it's south is the Ayia Napa municipality and the two areas meet at Konnos Bay in the cape Greco National Park. Protaras continues north up to the no-mans land at the border where you can see Famagusta in the distance. Protaras is made up of different tourists areas including Green bay, Protaras centre, Pernera and Kapparis.
